Dad has had a pretty good weekend, he even went to church this morning. The chemo takes away his appetite, so getting him to eat anything much is a struggle sometimes, but all in all, he's doing pretty good. I know he enjoyed getting out of the house, and especially getting to see his church family.

The physical therapist was here on Saturday and said it would only take a few weeks to get Dad back to where he can move around without help. They'll come 3 times a week, and that will be so helpful. They gave him some exercises that he can do on his own to help build the strength back in his legs, and I'm sure it won't take long to get back up and at 'em!

What a beautiful day and your Dad got to be a part of it. I know that everyone at Church was so glad to see him and I hope it didn't wear him out. We are all praying for him and your Mom and I know that when this is all behind him, he will have a wonderful story to spread about God's love. We love you all and will continue praying for all of you. Martha Surratt

I have been away from my computer for awhile and was glad to read how well Sherrill is doing. How scary it must have been for him and Peggy last week. So glad it was something that could be taken care of.
I'm sure they were happy to be able to worship and be with their church family yesterday.
They are in my daily prayers. We can trust in HIM for our strength and care...

This is such great news! I am so happy to hear that Sherrell was able to go to church! I know that in his heart he would like to go to every service they have, so it is very great that he was able to go Sunday morning! I am very glad to know that Sherrell will be getting physical therapy because that will help him a lot. But the best part of all is that God is with Sherrell and Peggy and is helping them surpass all the obstacles in their way of victory! The Lord will guide them and their family with His Holy Spirit and strengthen them to accomplish all that they may have to do allong the way! May God bless you all and rejuvinate yourselves in the rivers of the Holy Spirit of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
